The latest findings from collagen research
The two-day Freiberg Collagen Symposium has been held every four years since 1996 and offers lectures on a wide range of collagen-related topics, such as the extraction and processing of collagen, analytics, synthetic collagen and collagen peptides, simulation and modeling, medical and pharmaceutical applications and much more. The symposium is an established meeting place for scientists, manufacturers and users from all over the world who deal with collagen.
Conference on collagen research with a focus on fundamental questions on chemical and molecular properties, progress in processing and modification, as well as findings on industrial applications.
For the 8th Freiberg Collagen Symposium, we are looking for speakers who would like to present their ideas, findings and applications on the following topics:
Main Topics
Fundamental research
Collagen structure and modelling
New preparation techniques and processing technologies
Chemical and physical modification
New crosslinking technologies
Collagen-based biomaterials
Hybrid materials from collagen and biopolymers
New collagen sources and analogues
Analytical aspects
Metabolic action and associated diseases
Venue "Alte Mensa", Freiberg / Germany
The 8th Freiberg Collagen Symposium will take place in the Alte Mensa, Petersstraße 5 in Freiberg / Saxony. This is located in the middle of the pedestrian zone, in the center of the city, in the immediate vicinity of the Obermarkt. The large hall is used by the TU Bergakademie Freiberg for celebrations and examinations. So it also offers us enough space for networking, listening to the lectures and catering during the breaks.
